One of the better "hidden gem" burger (and dog) spots in the Waterfront District. Not only are the prices decent but it's a smaller, family owned business. Outdoor seating is all that's available but hey, it's San Diego, so except for a few dozen days out if the year it's also a great way to get some outside. Double bonus they have a number of local tap handles and a "bar top" style counter facing Coronado across the bay making for a spectacular sunset spot to relax.

The American Burger was CRAZY,One of the best in San Diego. Moreover, their location in remarkable and the staff were super friendly. Overall, a place one should visit and try.

Finally tried the veggie burger. It's so amazing. Sort of a creamy texture like medium rare beef or tuna tartare (if you're a meat eater). Not sure if it's mushroom or tempeh/seitan based. I had it as a chalet with watercress, Swiss, mushrooms and BBQ sauce. Yum.
